Discipline Priest Build in WoW

March 12, 2010

While exploring options for a good Discipline Priest build, I’ve settled on this one as my favorite:

Discipline Priest Build

I virtually only use Shield, Flash Heal and Renew, so I don’t see any point in having Divine Fury. I really don’t care about Healing Focus, but that might be good in PvP.

Roleplaying in WoW… hrmmm

February 25, 2009

Another WordPress user named zortel commented on my blog about a raid that was based along a Roleplaying storyline.

I’ve spent my fair share of time in WoW… well, wasting time. Sometimes it is enjoyable to do nothing productive – with no goals of character advancement. Yet, the idea of going on a raid just for a Roleplaying storyline made me ponder the question if I would enjoy a Roleplaying server.

I came to the conclusion that I would not enjoy a Roleplaying server. Even though I do waste time on occasion, it is under my terms. Most of the time I am advancing my characters. So, if I was constantly “forced” to participate in extensive storylines that prevented me from farming or leveling or whatever, I may not enjoy that so much. I could be wrong, though. If I actually gave a Roleplaying server a chance, it might turn out to be a blast and add to the depth of the game.

Raiding Tactics

February 22, 2009

I spent all of yesterday raiding. I even got into a PUG raid, which worked far better than I expected. Just because it’s a PUG doesn’t mean it HAS to suck :)

Unfortunately, sitting in front of a computer not moving all day takes its toll on the body (getting up only for rushed bathroom/food/drink breaks). Today I am going to actually go outside!!! *gasp*

Not much WoW this week

February 13, 2009

This sure has been a busy week; I’ve not played any WoW at all, which is quite weird for me. Don’t you hate when real life gets in the way?

A Human returns to the Throne of Lordaeron!

January 24, 2009

Undercity… quite possibly the filthiest, scum-ridden (aka Horde-ridden) place in Azeroth. Do you not like my Horde-hatred? Good! Then that probably means you are Horde. The storyline of this world may attempt to force us together to fend off the greater evil, but even if we work together to bring down this unending darkness, I would never hesitate to spit upon your bleeding corpse. Wait, no… I wouldn’t just spit on your corpse; one might think me a coward to spit only on your corpse. Instead, what I shall do, is spit in your face to anger you. At that point, you might lift your weapon to challenge me in combat, and then I shall leave your body a blood mess upon the ground – a mess that might be confused by a passer-by as an animal carcass long left to be fed upon by scavengers.

And, with that, I shall leave you this – a human has returned to the Throne of Lordaeron! Muwahaha!

Server Downtime… /ugh

January 23, 2009

I am used to dealing with my server being down on Tuesday, but Friday, too?!?!?

I understand that WoW servers have to be maintained, but it gets irritating when I can’t play my characters on a Friday – when I actually have time to play.

In any event, I love that Druids can now Swipe in cat form.

Zeppelins aren’t just for the Horde!

January 22, 2009

I have played WoW for years, and one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had the pleasure of wasting hours of time on is breaking into Horde cities. It is simple to do with a max-level character and prowl (Druid/Rogue). Yet, with a level 2, it’s possible only after the result of a hundred deaths. Die, run back to body, run a few yards, die, run back to body, run a few years… you get the idea.

One interesting fact is that if you are dead, you will instantly re-spawn when you zone on a boat/zeppelin. To travel on a Zeppelin as an Alliance character, your goal is to make it down the stairs, out of site of the Horde guard. Once you are down the stairs, you can re-spawn in safety, as the Horde guard will no longer be able to see you. There are goblins down there, but they will not attack. Once you are where you want to be, you can jump off the Zeppelin without re-surfacing.

This is pointless if you’re actually trying to level a character, but fun if you’re into weird adventures.

Testing my new World of Warcraft blog

January 21, 2009

This is my first time using WordPress. It looks really nice so far – and even though I have never blogged before, I am having no problem using this site.

Just testing to see if I can use images; Google logo! woot!
